Title
Commending and thanking Alderperson Zachary Henak for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 10 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Zachary Henak was elected to the Madison Common Council on April 2, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Henak served on the Board of Park Commissioners; City-County Liaison Committee; Common Council Executive Committee; Community Development Block Grant Committee; Downtown Coordinating Committee; and Task Force on Municipal Golf in Madison Parks; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Henak worked through the significant increase of development projects in and around District 10, the largest and most technical being Westgate Mall; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Henak contributed greatly through his Board of Park Commissioners work, particularly the reimagining of golf in Madison; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Henak brought Common Council decisions to District 10 residents for first-person input; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Henak brought realism, honesty, respect, and brevity to the position of Alder, and worked with Alders, City staff, and residents to find common ground and build productive relationships; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Zachary Henak through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Zachary Henak for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 10 and to the City of Madison.
