Authorizing the execution of a Permanent Sanitary Sewer Easement together with a Temporary Construction Easement to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, as well as a Permanent Private Sanitary Sewer Easement to Madison Real Estate Consultants, LLC, and accepting a Permanent Sanitary Sewer Easement from the City of Fitchburg, all related to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District’s planned project making improvements to the Nine Springs Valley Interceptor along portions of the Cannonball Path. Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (“MMSD”) owns and operates a sanitary sewer main interceptor, specifically known as Nine Springs Valley Interceptor (“NSVI”), located along portions of the Cannonball Path within the City of Madison and the City of Fitchburg; and
WHEREAS, to increase sanitary sewer system capacity in the area and replace aging facilities, MMSD plans to make improvements and repairs to the NSVI (“Project”) within the area depicted on attached Exhibit A (“Project Location”); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, MMSD requires three easements for sanitary sewer purposes and a temporary easement for construction purposes (“Easements”); and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Engineering Division staff have reviewed and approve of the Easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the following:
· a Permanent Sanitary Sewer Easement for public sanitary sewer purposes together with a Temporary Construction Easement to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, for the areas more particularly described on attached Exhibit B and depicted on attached Exhibit C.
