The proposed resolution approves plans and seeks bids for work related to Safe Streets Madison. The expected cost of these traffic and pedestrian enhancements is $668,460 and will be funded within Traffic Engineering's 2022 adopted capital budget from the Safe Streets Madison capital program.

PREAMBLE
This project consists of installation of various traffic calming and pedestrian enhancements citywide. Each specific location undergoes evaluation and separate public involvement processes. Upon approval, this public works contract provides means to construct the approved devices.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. That the plans and specifications for Safe Streets Madison 2022 - Group 1, be and are hereby approved.
2. That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for the required public works contract.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of the existing public fee title or easement rights-of-ways.
