Title
Amending RES-16-00171, File No. 41516, to Correct an Error in the Approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement for an Adaptive Management Plan for the Yahara Watershed.
Body
WHREAS, on March 1, 2016 the Common Council authorized the City to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for an Adaptive Management Plan for the Yahara Watershed (RES-16-00171, File No. 41516), which agreement was attached to the legislative file; and,
WHEREAS, the resolution incorrectly noted that the agreement would be a five-year agreement, running from 2017-2021. The agreement actually commenced on April 15, 2016, and will run until such time as the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources terminated the approved Adaptive Management Plan, which was anticipated to be in approximately 20-years. The inclusion of a five-year term for the agreement was an error; and,
WHEREAS, to correct the drafting error, it is necessary to amend the authorizing resolution to make it clear that the term of this agreement is not a five-year term, but is as noted in the agreement attached to the legislative file.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT RES-16-00171, File No. 41516, is hereby amended to read as follows: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Intergovernmental agreement with MMSD and other Adaptive Management Partners for the calendar years 2017 through 2021 ,on terms consistent with the Agreement attached hereto, with the level of funding noted above.
