Commending and thanking Alderperson Max Prestigiacomo for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 8 and to the City of Madison.

Body

WHEREAS, Alderperson Max Prestigiacomo was elected to the Madison Common Council on April 2, 2019; and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Prestigiacomo served on the Downtown Coordinating Committee; Joint Campus Area Committee; Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee; Madison Food Policy Council; President’s Work Group to Review Council Communication Tools & Processes; and Sustainable Madison Committee; and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Prestigiacomo was involved in banning facial recognition and instituting other police oversight measures; and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Prestigiacomo was instrumental in creating an independent Campus-Area Neighborhood Association (CANA); and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Prestigiacomo sponsored the decriminalization of marijuana; and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Prestigiacomo often used the platform of an Alder to support successful efforts at UW-Madison and other outside institutions affecting students and the campus area; and

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Max Prestigiacomo through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Max Prestigiacomo for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 8 and to the City of Madison.
