Commending and thanking Alderperson David Ahrens for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 15 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson David Ahrens was elected to represent District 15 on the Madison Common Council on April 2, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Ahrens served on the Board of Public Works, Performing Arts Study Steering Committee, Sustainable Madison Committee, Common Council Organizational Committee, Administrative Review Board, Garver Fee Mill Criteria and Selection Committee, Transit and Parking Commission, Urban Forestry Task Force, Common Council Executive Committee, Transportation Policy and Planning Board, Task Force on Structure of City Government, Water Utility Board, Madison Area Transportation Planning Board (MPO) and the Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, during his tenure Alderperson Ahrens was passionate about delving into the details of city projects and other issues to further his, and the public's, knowledge of what was being presented; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Ahrens was never afraid to ask the hard questions at committee meetings or on the Council floor, even when others disagreed with him; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Ahrens through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson David Ahrens for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 15 and the City of Madison.
