Congratulating 100 Black Men of Madison on receiving the Pinnacle Chapter of the Year Award.
Body
WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is a civic service organization of African American men with 110 affiliate chapters consisting of more than 10,000 members reaching over 125,000 underserved and underrepresented youth of color annually; and,

WHEREAS, the motto of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., “What They See Is What They’ll Be,” very succinctly expresses how its programmatic services rendered to disadvantaged, disenfranchised and low-income youth and families positively changes their life trajectory; and,

WHEREAS, there are many phenomenal African American men within the Chapter Network of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. who demonstrate extraordinary community service and leadership, while serving as exemplary role models and mentors; and,

WHEREAS, the Chapter members of the 100 Black Men of Madison are among those men that have achieved excellence in each of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.'s four programmatic focus areas: Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness and Economic Empowerment; and,

WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of Madison has served Madison area youth since 1994 by providing programs in the area of mentoring, health and wellness, education and economic development; and,

WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of Madison's successful programs include Project SOAR (Student Opportunity Access & Readiness) mentorship program, the African American History Challenge Bowl, Backpacks for Success Picnic, Financial Literacy and Prostrate Cancer Awareness programs; and,

WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and its Board of Directors, have selected the 100 Black Men of Madison to receive its top honor, the 2017 100 Black Men of America Pinnacle Chapter of the Year Award; and,

WHEREAS, the award will be bestowed at the 31st Annual Conference on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans; and...
