Title
Commending and thanking Alderperson Bryon Eagon for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 8 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Bryon Eagon was elected to the Madison Common Council on April 7, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Eagon served on the Complete Count Committee, Common Council Organizational Committee, Downtown Coordinating Committee, Joint Southeast Campus Area Committee, Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission, Public Safety Review Committee, the State Street Design Project Oversight Committee, Common Council Work Group to Review Snow Policies & Procedures and the CCOC Subcommittee to Develop Social Media Policy; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Eagon worked to provide more campus and downtown safety for his constituents, advocated for greater tenant rights for students, led the effort to appoint a student position to the Alcohol License Review Committee and sparked the engagement of historic student participation in city issues; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Eagon had perfect attendance at Common Council meetings and one of the highest alder committee attendance records; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Bryon Eagon through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Bryon Eagon for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 8 and the City of Madison.
