DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance amends a statutory reference and creates additional criteria for alcohol license suspension or revocation.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Paragraph 7. of Subdivision (a) entitled “Complaint” of Subsection (1) of Section 38.10 entitled "Revocation, Suspension or Nonrenewal of License" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“7. The person has been convicted of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance under Wis. Stat. § 161.41941.41(1); of possessing, with intent to manufacture or deliver, a controlled substance under Wis. Stat. § 161.41941.41(1m); or of possessing, with intent to manufacture or deliver, or of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance under a substantially similar federal law or a substantially similar law of another state.”
2. Paragraphs 9. through 13. of Subdivision (a) entitled “Complaint” of Subsection (1) of Section 38.10 entitled "Revocation, Suspension or Nonrenewal of License" of the Madison General Ordinances are created to read as follows:
“9. The licensee has violated a condition included on its license.
10. The person has made any material false statement in any application for a license.
11. The person has failed to operate the licensed establishment in accordance with the floor plan and plan of operation submitted to the City as part of the licensing process.
