Authorizing the execution of a Permanent Limited Easement for sanitary sewer purposes and a Temporary Limited Easement for sloping and grading to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District across City Stormwater Utility Parcel 533 located at 3049 S. Stoughton Road, 3102 Progress Road and 3101 Progress Road.
Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (“MMSD”) owns and operates a sanitary sewer force main interceptor, aka Northeast Interceptor, located within the City of Madison Stormwater Utility Parcel 533, along Progress Road; and
WHEREAS, MMSD is replacing a portion of the aforementioned Northeast Interceptor pipe at 3101 Progress Road, and proposes to install a new section of Northeast Interceptor pipe within the City of Madison Stormwater Utility Parcel 533 at 3102 Progress Road and 3049 S. Stoughton Road; and
WHEREAS, in order to perform the repairs and install the new sections for the Northeast Interceptor pipe, MMSD requires a Permanent Limited Easement for sanitary sewer purposes and a Temporary Limited Easement for sloping and grading adjacent to the new sewer interceptor pipe at Progress Road and S. Stoughton Road; and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Engineering Division staff have reviewed and approve of the Permanent Limited Easement and Temporary Limited Easement to MMSD for the Northeast Interceptor project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Permanent Limited Easement for sanitary sewer purposes and a Temporary Limited Easement for sloping and grading to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for the new Northeast Interceptor sanitary sewer pipe installation project at Progress Road and S Stoughton Road; within the City of Madison Stormwater Utility Parcel 533 at 3101 and 3102 Progress Road and 3049 S Stoughton Road, as more particularly described below and depicted on attached Exhibit A.
