Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to the existing contract (#8910) for engineering services for the total amount of $41,100.00. The new contract as amended will total $323,868.00.
Funding for the flood reduction analysis consulting services in the amount of $41,100 is provided in the 2022 Adopted Stormwater Utility Operating Budget. No additional appropriation is required. The project number is 12846-84-200-84000.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 3 to the existing Purchase of Services contract between the City of Madison and Tetra Tech, Inc. for engineering services for the East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed Study. (2nd, 4th, 6th, 12th and 15th AD)
Body
The City of Madison Engineering Division isconducting watershed and flood studies as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc. for engineering services related to flooding evaluation in the East Isthmus and Yahara River watershed (RES-20-00352). The City Engineer requested additional engineering services and recommend that they be undertaken by Tetra Tech, Inc. for the East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed Study as defined below:
1. Update the model for the East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed by incorporating the City’s potential dredging scenarios of the Yahara River.
2. Summarize the predicted impact on the stormwater collection system.
The existing contract shall be extended until December 31, 2023 to allow completion of the additional services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment 3 to the contract between the City of Madison and Tetra Tech, Inc. for additional design services and to extend the contract term for East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed Study.
