The proposed resolution recreates two vacant Maintenance General Supervisor positions to Maintenance Manager positions in the Metro Transit operating budget. This change is not anticipated to create additional costs in 2022, as the positions will be vacant for at least the first quarter of 2022. The total annualized cost increase of these position changes in future years is $33,000 at the entry level and $45,000 at the max step/longevity level of the positions.

This resolution seeks to delete two (2) vacant Maintenance General Supervisor (CG44, RG10) positions #2672 and #4204, and recreate two (2) Maintenance Manager positions(CG44, R14) in the Metro operating budget, thereof.
WHEREAS, Metro Transit has a number of large projects that are being implemented over the next few years; and,
WHEREAS, Metro has struggled to fill certain vacant positions with highly skilled and qualified candidates due to the employment market; and,
WHEREAS, Metro has been utilizing consultants to supplement staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that two (2) vacant Maintenance General Supervisor positions #2672 and #4204 (CG44, R10) be recreated as two (2) Maintenance Manager positions (CG44, RG14), in the Metro operating budget.
