The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment of a noncompetitive contract with Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services, Inc. to extend their services to support Public Health Madison and Dane County’s COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and vaccine administration. The services are paid for through various funding streams to support COVID-19 response efforts, including Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance reimbursements, CDC Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity grants, and COVID-19 Testing Pilot Program funding. The amendment extends the term of the contract for an additional year to February 1, 2023, at a price not to exceed $3,500,000 with the option of three additional 1-year renewal terms which may be executed by the Director and are subject to appropriate budget authority and budget availability. No appropriation is required at this time.

Body
WHEREAS, Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) has been working with Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services, Inc. to support COVID-19 emergency response efforts to supplement staffing levels in the areas of contact tracing, testing, and vaccination; and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2021, the Common Council authorized the execution of a service contract with Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services, Inc. (“Maxim”) via File No. 63563; and
WHEREAS, the services have been paid for through various funding streams to support COVID-19 response efforts, including Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance reimbursements, CDC Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity grants, and COVID-19 Testing Pilot Program funding; and
