Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes a one-year agreement with Edgewood College, with annual renewals thereafter, allowing Edgwood students and employees access to Metro Transit services through the unlimited ride pass program. Metro Transit will bill Edgewood $1.35 per fixed route ride for the initial year (November 1, 2020 - October 31, 2021) of the contract and the applicable per ride rate in the then current Metro Transit Fare Tariff during all subsequent years of the agreement. Paratransit rides will be billed at the rate of the applicable paratransit fare in the Fare Tariff at the time the ride is taken. The 2021 Executive Budget includes $32,000 in revenues from the unlimited ride pass agreement with Edgewood College.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Edgewood College, Inc. for the provision of access by Edgewood students and employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement per trip for the contract period.
Body
WHERAS, Edgewood College, Inc. and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting arrangement for an unlimited ride pass program for Edgewood College students and employees in the past, and both parties with to extend their agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated specifications which meet all the Transportation Commission criteria set in advance for unlimited ride pass agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BIT IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Edgewood College, Inc. for the purpose of providing an unlimited ride pass program from November 1, 2020 - October 31, 2021 with automatic renewals annually thereafter, unless the agreement is amended or cancelled. The per ride rate for fixed route rides for the first year of the agreement will be $1.35. For subsequent years and for all paratransit rides, the per ride rate will be the rate in the then current Metro Transit Fare Tariff....
