DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS:    This ordinance amends Madison General Ordinance 28.151 to allow a dwelling space to be located alongside a work space in a Live/Work unit.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

1.                     Subdivision (b) of the Live/Work Unit of Section 28.151 entitled “Applicability” of Subchapter 28J entitled “Supplemental Regulations” is amended to read as follows:

" Live/Work Unit.

 (b) The dwelling unit component shall be located above, alongside or behind the work space, and maintain a separate entrance located on the front or side facade and accessible from the primary abutting public street.”
