The proposed resolution orders the replacement of sidewalk in the associated aldermanic districts at an estimated cost of $46,928.46. The 2020 Adopted Engineering - Bicycle &
Pedestrian Capital Budget includes $2.0 million in GO Borrowing in the Sidewalk Program for the repair and replacement of defective sidewalk throughout the City (MUNIS 12692-403-200).

Body
To provide safe pedestrian travel throughout the City, new areas of sidewalk are installed and existing sections of sidewalk in need of repair are removed and replaced.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the property owners of the property hereinafter described be hereby ordered to install sidewalk or parts thereof, hereinafter described, in full compliance with the requirements of the City Ordinance governing such construction. Firm arrangements for such construction shall be made by the date specified on the Sidewalk Notice, and that if arrangements are not made by the aforesaid date, the City of Madison, will cause such sidewalk to be installed and charge the cost hereof to the property in front of which the walk is laid, and such cost, unless previously paid, will be collected as a special tax against the property in front of which the walks are installed.
