The proposed Resolution amends the 2020 Adopted Operating Budget for the Community Development Division (CDD) to reflect the actual grant award amounts for the Continuum of Care grant program. Under the proposed amendment, CDD's 2020 Adopted Budget will increase as follows:
· Revenue: +$1,887,265
· Salaries/Benefits: +up to $45,660
· Purchased Services: +up to $1,841,605

This Resolution also authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute agreements with nonprofit agencies, specified below and in the attachment, to provide services using the Emergency Solutions Grant Program Supplemental Funds (ESG-CV) funds.

BACKGROUND

The City of Madison works closely with Dane County Continuum of Care (CoC) member agencies that serve people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of becoming homeless, and provides leadership and administrative support to the group. This collaborative work includes the City's administration of the State of Wisconsin grants on behalf of the Dane County CoC.

Dane County CoC will receive $1,887,265 in Emergency Solutions Grant Program Supplemental Funds (ESG-CV) allocated to the State of Wisconsin by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
