Title
Commending and thanking Alderperson Larry Palm for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 12 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Larry Palm was first elected to represent District 15 on the Madison Common Council on April 5, 2005 and was re-elected to represent District 12 on April 2, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Palm served on the Board of Public Works, Committee on the Environment, Madison Public Library Board, East Washington Avenue Design Oversight Committee, Common Council Organizational Committee, Downtown Coordinating Committee, Lake Edge/Monona Grove School District Ad Hoc Committee, Garver Building Reuse Committee, Water Utility Board, Long Range Transportation Planning Committee, Ad Hoc Downtown Public Restroom Committee, Madison Public Library Board, Board of Estimates, Community Development Authority, Housing Strategy Committee, Madison Local Food Committee, City-County Homeless Issues Committee, Public Market Development Committee, Oscar Mayer Strategic Assessment Committee, Finance Committee, Warner Park Community Recreation Center Advisory Subcommittee, Madison Area Transportation Planning Board (MPO) and the chairperson for the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission (CARPC); and,
WHEREAS, during his tenure Alderperson Palm worked tirelessly on issues in District 12 and District 15 related to Oscar Mayer, Royster-Clark, Stoughton Road, Olbrich Gardens, Starkweather Creek, Union Corners, and;
WHEREAS, Alderperson Palm through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Larry Palm for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 12 and the City of Madison.
