DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This amendment creates a definition of Bay Window. This definition will allow staff to prevent individuals from using a Bay Window to add floor space that would otherwise be prohibited by the Zoning Code.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

Section 28.211 entitled “Definitions” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by creating therein the following:

“Bay Window. A structure projecting through an exterior wall that contains a window and is at least eighteen (18) inches above the finished level of the floor.”
