Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes allocation of up to $36,250 in 2018 and up to $107,000 in 2019 for Community Building and Engagement (CBE) activities. The Community Development Division (CDD) conducted an RFP process to allocate the remaining 2018 funds and requested 2019 funds, pending adoption of the 2019 Operating Budget.

The Community Services Committee has reviewed the RPF responses and prepared recommendations within the allotted funding. CDD received requests from nine entities totaling $472,139. The recommendations allocate $107,000 the four organizations in 2019 (subject to adoption of the 2019 Operating Budget). The recommendations also allocate $36,250 to three organizations using 2018 funds.

In anticipation of the Common Council renewing the City’s commitment to CBE funding in 2019, and drawing on an additional $7,000 available in existing purchase of services authorizations, CDD conducted an RFP process to allocate 2019 funds as well as remaining 2018 funds. This resolution represents the Community Services Committee’s recommendations from that RFP process. Specifically, it allocates up to $107,000 for 2019 contracts, pending authorization of funding i...
