Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution awards the contract for the Calypso Road, Fremont Avenue and Hillcrest Drive pavement resurfacing project at total cost of $2,008,460. In the adopted 2018 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $15.5 million within the Pavement Management capital program for the resurfacing of streets throughout the City. Project funding is provided by GO Borrowing, Special Assessments, and associated utility funding broken out as follows:
Major Streets - $182,630
Stormwater Utility - $495,340
Sewer Utility - $155,899
Water Utility - $416,130

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
