Authorizing the execution of a Declaration of Public Right-of-Way for an extension of Harvest Moon Lane through a portion of City-owned land at Silicon Prairie Business Park, located at 502 South Point Road.
Body
WHEREAS, Harvest Moon Lane is an existing platted street located within the Plat of Cardinal Glen, and the soon to be developed 1000 Oaks Plat, being located directly to the west of the Plat of Cardinal Glen, along South Point Road; and

WHEREAS, the City of Madison is the owner of parcel located adjacent to and north of the 1000 Oaks Plat, and is operated by the City Engineering Division for storm water purposes, as located at 502 South Point Road; and

WHEREAS, in order to construct the easterly end of Harvest Moon Lane at the intersection of South Point Road, for the development of the 1000 Oaks Plat, the City has agreed to dedicate a portion said City storm water parcel for public right-of-way purposes; and

WHEREAS, City Engineering staff has reviewed and recommend said dedication to be recorded by way of a recorded Declaration of Public Right-of-way.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Declaration of Public Right-of-Way for land described as follows:

Part of Lot 3, CSM 9957, recorded in Volume 58, of Certified Surveys on pages 72-75, as Document No. 3289615, Dane County Register of Deeds, being located in part of the Southeast Quarter (1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (1/4) of Section 28, Town 7 North, Range 8 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:


Commencing at the SE Corner of said Lot 3; thence S 89°56’47” W, along the south line of said Lot 3, 21.00 feet, to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing S 89°56’47” W, along the said south line, also being the north line of the plat of 1000 Oaks, 361.79 feet, to the intersection with the north right-of-way line of Harvest...
