The total project cost is $362,000. The State/Federal share is $325,800 and the City of Madison's share $36,200 and is included in the Traffic Engineering Division's Capital Improvement Plan, MUNIS Project 10427, Traffic Signal Infrastructure.

PREAMBLE

 

The City of Madison and Wisconsin Department of Transportation entered into an agreement authorized by Resolution File ID 40767, RES-15-00923 for the design and construction of the Aberg Avenue, Shopko Drive Intersection project.

 

Design and construction are eligible for 90% HSIP funding.  The local share (10%) will be paid for by the City of Madison.  The improvement will include new traffic signals and improved signage. 

 

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation received bids on the proposed public works contract.  The project came in over estimate and additional federal and City funds are required.

 

BE IT RESOLVED that the Finance Director is hereby authorized to increase encumbrances for the Aberg Avenue, Shopko Drive Intersection project

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an amended agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
