Fiscal Note

The 2015 Capital Budget authorized $6,250,000 for Public Market planning, design and construction. (Project No. 17159). There is sufficient budget authority for the proposed contract. The estimated cost is $105,000.

Title

Resolution to execute contract with Graham Baba Architects for up to $105,000 to provide site planning and architectural design services for the Madison Public Market.

Body

WHEREAS, Resolution number RES-16-00194  and Resolution number RES-16-00362 authorized the City’s Economic Development Division staff to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage qualified firm(s) to develop a master site plan and architectural design plan for the Madison Public Market project; and

 

WHEREAS, the City released RFP #8526-0-2016-BP to engage a firm(s) to provide design services for the Madison Public Market; and

 

WHEREAS, a City Staff team reviewed responses to RFP #8526-0-2016-BP, selected finalists, conducted interviews, and made a recommendation to select Graham Baba Architects; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council does hereby authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract for an amount up to $105,000 with Graham Baba Architects for public market site planning and architectural design services.

 

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute, deliver, accept and record any and all documents and take such other actions as shall be necessary or desirable to accomplish the purpose of this resolution in a form approved by the City Attorney.
