Fiscal Note
This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement that may be renewed for two additional one-year periods, with Golf Revolution LLC. The agreement will set forth the terms and conditions upon which the City will make Golf Revolution athe preferred golf instruction provider at the City golf courses. In exchange for this designation and allowing clubhouse promotion, as well as providing storage space at the City’s golf courses, Golf Revolution will pay the City $3,900 in 2016, $4,400 in 2017 and $4,900 in 2018-2020, which revenues will be recognized in the Golf Enterprise Fund accordingly.

WHEREAS, Golf Revolution is a private business that began offering adult and junior golf lessons at the City’s four golf courses (Glenway, Monona, Odana Hills, and Yahara Hills, collectively the “Courses”) in 2015; and,
WHEREAS, Golf Revolution’s mission is to provide an accessible and affordable way to experience golf in Madison; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the City’s interests to expand interest in the game of golf at its Courses and in the Madison area; and,
WHEREAS, by entering into a Use Agreement with Golf Revolution that will make it athe preferred golf instruction provider at the Courses, the City will be providing a service to its Course customers and helping to expand interest in the game of golf and the use of the Courses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a Use Agreement with Golf Revolution LLC making it athe preferred golf instruction provider at the Courses, as well as allowing Golf Revolution to place promotional materials in the City’s clubhouses and use designated storage space at the Courses, in a format ...
