Body
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver has served as Director of the City of Madison's Economic Development Division since February 7, 2011; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver guided the work of 18 professional staff in a Division responsible for providing a wide range of real estate services, business resources, and homeowner assistance; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver skillfully worked with the Mayor's Office, Common Council, and colleagues throughout City government in carrying-out the duties of the Economic Development Division; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver expertly represented the City of Madison in numerous meeting with developers, businesses, and community organizations; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver provided invaluable guidance to major development projects, including redevelopment of property within the Capitol East District, Downtown, University Crossing, South Park Street, Union Corners, Royster Clark, and Southeast Madison; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver led a substantial effort to amend the City's Tax Increment Finance Policy; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver's ability to understand and communicate complex business needs to colleagues and policy makers has greatly benefited the Madison community; and
 
WHEREAS, Aaron Olver's friendly and calm professionalism was greatly appreciated by everyone who worked with him; and
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council commend Aaron Olver for his service to the City of Madison and wish him great success in his future endeavors.
