Fiscal Note
The modifications to the Agreement with the Association of Madison Police Supervisors (AMPS) and associated fiscal effects are as follows:
2.5 furlough days in 2014 and 2015 -- savings of $33,760 in 2014 and $34,773 in 2015. This savings is consistent with compensation changes made for other employee groups in order to meet authorized appropriation levels in the 2014 adopted city budget. Since the furloughs are one-time reductions, costs will increase in 2016 by the 2015 savings amount.
Increase the clothing allowance from $20 per month to $50 per month beginning with the last pay period in 2015 until June 2022. This will increase costs by $12,240 annually beginning in 2016 through 2021.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
The modification of the Agreement between the City of Madison and the Association of Madison Police Supervisors (AMPS) for the period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2015 is hereby adopted in its entirety and confirmed in all respects and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to sign the agreement.
