Title
Commending and thanking Alderperson Scott Resnick for his dedicated and conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Scott Resnick was elected by his peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 16, 2013 for the term of 2013-2014; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Scott Resnick provided invaluable support and advice to Council President Chris Schmidt; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Resnick met weekly with Mayor Paul Soglin, his staff and Common Council President Chris Schmidt to discuss city issues; and,
WHEREAS, during his term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson Resnick served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee and served as a member on the Ad Hoc Committee on Moped Parking, City-County Liaison Committee, Digital Technology Committee, Economic Development Committee, Joint Southeast Campus Area Committee, Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee, Madison Cultural Arts District Board, Plan Commission, State Street Design Project Oversight Committee, and Vending Oversight Committee; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Resnick has met the demands of his additional duties with committed and dedicated service; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Resnick also continued to ably represent and respond to his 8th District constituents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Scott Resnick for his dedicated and conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
