Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of Henry Vilas Zoo, located at 702 South Randall Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, Dane County, in concert with the City Parks Division, is constructing a new animal health center to serve the animals at Henry Vilas Zoo (the "Zoo"), located on 702 South Randall Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") has been asked to install electric service to serve the new animal health center building at the Zoo, and therefore have requested a new underground electric line easement, across a portion of the Zoo grounds, for their electric line facilities; and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Parks Division and Office of Real Estate Services staff has reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the Henry Vilas Zoo property, legally described as follows:
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
The right of way shall be located five (5) feet on the right side and five (5) feet on the left side of the centerline of MG&E's facilities as construction. The facilities will be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit A and dated December 5, 2012.
