Amending Section 38.10(1) of the Madison General Ordinances to clarify suspension revocation or nonrenewal procedures for entertainment licenses and licenses for Centers for Visual and Performing Arts.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This proposal clarifies that 21+ Entertainment licenses and 18+ Centers for Visual and Performing Arts licenses are subject to the suspension revocation or nonrenewal provisions of those subsections' provisions rather than the procedures for alcohol licenses under Sec. 38.10, MGO.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
Subsection (1) of Section 38.10 entitled "Revocation, Suspension or Nonrenewal of License" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
"(1) The following provision shall apply to the revocation, suspension or nonrenewal of any license issued pursuant to Chapter 38 of these Ordinances, except as provided in Secs. 38.06(11)(n)and 38.06(12)(h), MGO, notwithstanding any other provision of Chapter 38 except those providing for revocation or suspension of any license by the court."
