Authorizing an amendment to the contract between the City of Madison and Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd., in the amount not to exceed $49,269.00 for additional architectural and engineering design services for Madison Central Public Library related to the rebidding of the Library Project.

Preamble
The parties, the City of Madison ("City") and Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. ("Architect" or "Contractor") entered into a contract for the purchase of professional architectural and engineering design services for Madison Central Public Library on July 1, 2010, and,
The rebidding of the Library project, as authorized by the Common Council on January 3, 2012, requires additional services to be performed by Architect at an increased cost for such services in an amount not to exceed $49,269.00 ; and
The amendment is to repeat PHASE V: BIDDING PHASE for the design and construction for the renovation and remodeling of the Madison Central Public Library located at 201 West Mifflin Street, Madison, Wisconsin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to Contract #6436 between the City of Madison and Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. to authorize the additional work in the amount not to exceed $49,269.00.
