Title

Amending Section 3.54(1)(i)2. of the Madison General Ordinances by deleting the classification of Library Director in Compensation Group 21, Range 18 and creating the classification of Library Director in  Compensation Group 21, Range 20.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS:  This ordinance deletes the classification of Library Director in CG21, R18 and creates the classification of Library Director in CG21, R20.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

      Paragraph 2. of Subdivision (i) entitled "Appendix. (Schedule of Salary Ranges for Noncivil Service Employees)" of Subsection (1) entitled "Basic Salary Schedules By Compensation Groups" of Section 3.54 entitled "Compensation Plan" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by deleting the classification of "Library Director" in Compensation Group 21, Range 18 and creating the classification of "Library Director" in  Compensation Group 21, Range 20.

Note:  The Library Board recommends that the Common Council should reclassify the Library Director's position from the 2l/18 salary range up to the 21/20 range.
