Fiscal Note
The Resolution is in response to the recently enacted State biennial budget bill, which has changed the way in which Medicaid-supported transit rides are administered. This resolution allows Metro Transit to efficiently contract for paratransit services with human service agencies, including LogsitiCare Solutions, LLC, with the added convenience of using tickets that the agencies can distribute for individuals that are also eligible for Metro Paratransit service. No significant fiscal impact is anticipated.

PREAMBLE
Metro Transit has established agency fares for qualified human service agencies contracting for social service agency trips for their ADA complementary paratransit eligible clients. In the interest of having services available within our community, Metro Transit has extended, on a temporary basis, an agency fare arrangement to LogistiCare Solutions, LLC. (LogistiCare). LogistiCare is the contractor for the State of Wisconsin Department of Human Services for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for eligible individuals. This action was necessitated by the expedited implementation timeline of July 1, 2011 for statewide Medicaid Transportation Management services on behalf of the State of Wisconsin. This arrangement allows LogistiCare to purchase ADA Complementary Paratransit fare media for agency trips at the Agency Fare Rate and then arrange transportation for the ADA complementary paratransit eligible persons it serves.
