Commending and thanking Alderperson Thuy Pham-Remmele for her dedicated service to the constituents in District 20 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Thuy Pham-Remmele was elected to the Madison Common Council on April 3, 2007; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Pham-Remmele held public safety listening sessions in August and September of 2007 that deflected the city's focus on trolleys and placed the emphasis on public safety by adding 30 police officers; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Pham-Remmele advocated to place a neighborhood center in the Meadowood Shopping Center and saw that project come to fruition during her tenure; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Pham-Remmele solicited Habitat for Humanity to renovate challenging properties on Russett Road and revitalize the community "one home at time"; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Pham-Remmele supported the Chronic Nuisance Ordinance and the Taxi Prepay Ordinance, two ordinances that improved the quality of life in Madison; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Pham-Remmele through hard work and commitment to her aldermanic duties has faithfully served her constituents,
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Thuy Pham-Remmele for her dedicated service to her constituents in District 20 and the City of Madison.
