Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Mortenson Construction to provide owner representation and construction administration services for the complete renovation, exterior improvements, and possible expansion of the Madison Central Public Library.
Body
WHEREAS the 2010 Capital Budget includes funding for owner representation and construction administration services; and,
WHEREAS the contract compensation for owner representation and construction administration services for Mortenson Construction is $375,000; and,
WHEREAS the project is the review designs, plans and specifications, assistance with the preparation of bid documents, assistance in the bid process, and construction administration for the design and construction of renovation improvements and furnishings for Madison Central Public Library located at 201 West Mifflin Street; and,
WHEREAS Mortenson Construction located at 10 East Doty Street, Madison, WI has been selected through the "Request for Qualifications" process and "Final Interview" process, and is the final selected candidate in accordance with MGO Section 4.26 of Madison General Ordinances and in accordance with APM No. 3-3 of Administrative Procedure Memorandum,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for purchase of services, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, with Mortenson Construction to provide owner representation and construction administration services for the Remodeling, Renovation, and Exterior Improvements of the Madison Central Public Library.
