I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments. "Statement of Interests" forms are on file in the City Clerk's Office for those appointees required to file.
*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.
Pursuant to Sec. 3.30(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, “ … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … .”
BUILDING CODE, FIRE CODE AND LICENSING APPEALS, BOARD OF
SAM J. BREIDENBACH, 2710 Willard Ave., 53704 (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Builder. Mr. Breidenbach is president of TDS Custom Construction, Inc. He has worked in the construction industry for 28 years and is a certified remodeler and green certified professional through NARI. He chairs the NARI Green Committee. He succeeds Lyle Christian who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2009.

Senior Citizen Advisory Committee recommendations:
PAUL J. VAN ROOY, 113 Sauthoff Rd., 53704-7650 (18th A.D.) - move from the position of Alternate Senior Citizen Advisory Committee Representative and appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Senior Citizen Advisory Committee Representative succeeding Michael Ely who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 9-30-2010.
