The grant does not require a local match and covers activities for the period 7/1/2026 to 6/30/2028.

WHEREAS, Public Health Madison and Dane County (“Public Health”) proposes the acceptance of $250,000.00 from the Medical College of Wisconsin (“MCW”), Inc. on behalf of the Advancing a Heathier Wisconsin Endowment (“AHW”) for Partnerships for Success: Innovative Health Support for Young Parents in Schools; and

WHEREAS, The funding awarded is provided by AHW. Resources for AHW resulted from the conversion of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin to a stock insurance corporation and the distribution of one-half of the proceeds of the sale of stock to MCW. AHW’s mission is to work with partners to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the health of Wisconsin communities. Funds are provided on a direct cost reimbursement basis in accordance with the terms of the agreement and covers activities for the period 7/1/2026 to 6/30/2028 (“Period of Performance”); and

WHEREAS, MCW on behalf of AHW awarded Public Health $250,000.00 to partner with the Young Parent Collective (YPC), Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) to build on a 2025 pilot project to establish a replicable, scalable, effective model that empowers schools and districts across Wisconsin to improve young parents’ maternal health, mental health, and educational outcomes, while advancing health equity for two generations-young parents and their childr...
