Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company and releasing an existing Madison Gas and Electric Company underground electric easement, across a portion of the City Water Utility Well #7 property, located at 1613 North Sherman Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Water Utility is constructing a new water pump station and reservoir facility, (“Well #7”), located at 1613 North Sherman Avenue; and

WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company (“MG&E”) will be installing new underground electric service to serve the City Water Utility facility, and therefore have requested an underground electric line easement, across a portion of the City Water Utility Well #7 property; and

WHEREAS, MG&E has also requested the release of an existing underground electric line easement located on the City Water Utility Well #7 property; said existing easement had previously served two residential parcels that have since been razed by the City Water Utility; and

WHEREAS, City Water Utility and Office of Real Estate Services staff have reviewed and approve of the granting of said new underground electric easement and releasing an existing underground electric easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Line Easement to MG&E and releasing an existing MG&E underground electric easement, across a portion of the City Water Utility Well #7 property, located at 1613 North Sherman Avenue, legally described as follows:

A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in Lot 1, Certified Survey Map No. 13735, Document No. 50766881, in Volume 90, Pages 274-277 of Certified Survey Maps as recorded in the Dane County Register of Deeds Office, lying in part of the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 31, Town 8 North, Range 10 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more part...
