Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution amends the adopted 2016 capital budget for the Sewer Utility by transfering $300,000 of budget authority from the Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation program (MUNIS 11146) to the East Washington Sanitary Sewer project (MUNIS 10290). Funding is established as Sewer Utility revenue bonds. The planned work for the contract in the proposed resolution will have sufficient budget authority on the East Washington Sanitary Sewer project with the authorization of the proposed resolution. The East Washington project is established to rehabilitate a major sewer interceptor at the stretch of East Washington Avenue from Blair Street to the Yahara River.
The proposed resolution also awards the specified contract in the amount of $1,519,780.

WHEREAS, The 2016 Sewer Utility Budget Capital Budget, provides funding for the rehabilitation of the East Washington sanitary sewer (Munis Project 10290), which has been bid as “CIPP REHAB OF LARGE DIAMETER SANITARY AND STORM SEWER INTERCEPTORS - 2016, Contract No. 7756; and
WHEREAS, The amount provided for in the 2016 Capital Budget was 1,250,000.00 and the bids for this project, while competitive, came in approximately $150,000.00 above this amount; and
WHEREAS, The Sewer Utility Budget provides $2,305,000.00 for Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation (Munis Major Project 10450 / Minor Project 11146), which is the same type of work being completed by Contract 7756; and
