Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution reclassifies the existing 1.0 FTE position #1085 from the Engineer 3 to Public Works Development Manager 2. This is net lateral reclassification at CG18-RG10 and will not have a fiscal impact as the 1.0 FTE position is presently budgeted within the Engineering Division’s adopted 2017 operating budget.

Preamble:
In 2016 the Engineering Division reclassified an Engineer 3 to a Public Works Development Manager thru a Personnel Action within MUNIS. Both positions reside within Comp Group 18, Range 10, making this a lateral reclassification. The Personnel Action occurred after submittal of the 2017 Operating Budget and did not get reflected in the adopted 2017 Operating Budget. This resolution shall make that correction within the 2017 Engineering Operating Budget and it shall also make the incumbent of the Public Works Development Manager 1 eligible for progression to Public Works Development Manager 2 without requiring a Position Study.
Now Therefore, Be it Resolved, that the 2017 Engineering Operating Budget is hereby amended to convert one position of Engineer to the position Public Works Development Manager 2.
