Amending sections of Chapter 28 of the Madison General Ordinances to remove maximum height limits and landscape requirements in the Airport District.

DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: This proposed ordinance amends two sections of MGO Chapter 28, the zoning code, pertaining to the Airport District. First, MGO Sec. 28.096(3) to eliminate the maximum height for the Airport district, which is subject to the regulations contained in the Dane County Code of Ordinances regulating the height and bulk of obstructions to aerial navigation and also apply within the Airport District and other areas surrounding the airport. Dane County, not the City of Madison, administers these regulations. Second, MGO Sec. 28.142 is amended to remove some landscaping requirements in the District.
