WHEREAS, Alder Matt Phair was appointed to the Madison Common Council on June 7, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, Alder Phair served on the Community Development Block Grant Committee; Board of Health for Madison and Dane County; and Board of Health for Madison and Dane County Budget Committee; and

 

WHEREAS, Alder Phair provided leadership as the City made progress on issues important to him, such as housing and violence prevention; and

 

WHEREAS, Alder Phair’s calm, thoughtful demeanor added valuable insight during difficult budget deliberations and issues of import, like government reform, transportation and progressive development policy; and

 

WHEREAS, Alder Phair, through his hard work and dedication to his alder duties, has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alder Matt Phair for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 20 and the City of Madison.
