PREAMBLE
The City of Madison and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation have prepared the plans for the reconstruction of East Washington Avenue Segment Three. The reconstruction of East Washington Avenue Segment Three includes reconstructing East Washington Avenue from Third Street to STH 30, reconstructing Milwaukee Street at the intersection with East Washington Ave, constructing a pedestrian overpass at Marquette Street, constructing the portion of the Starkweather Creek Bike Path from Darbo Drive to Commercial Ave and constructing a new signalized intersection at Sixth Street.
The project also includes replacement of the sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main. Decorative street lighting, landscaping and colored cross walks are included in the project. Bike lanes will be provided on East Washington Avenue.
