SUBSTITUTE: Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of a new water tower at Madison Water Utility Unit Well 20 (7th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility water tower located at Unit Well 20 (2829 Prairie Road) was damaged in a fire on May 14, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility Master Plan Study completed in 2006 identified the need for greater elevated storage capacity in this part of the City; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has budgeted for the demolition of the existing 100,000 gallon water tower and the construction of a new 400,000 gallon water tower;
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. not to exceed $60,000.00 for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of a new 400,000 gallon water tower.
