Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2016 capital budget, engineering major streets has budgeted $5.25 million for the pavement management major capital project (MUNIS 10540). The adopted 2016 capital budget for this project provides $5 million in GO Borrowing and $960,000 from other sources. The 2016 minor project for Lake Street resurfacing (MUNIS 10007) is budgeted for the cost detailed in the proposed resolution.
The proposed resolution approves plan documents for the N. Lake Street resurfacing project. The total project cost is $770,000 with the budgeted amounts split as follows:
Engineering Major Streets - $360,000
Stormwater - $225,000
Sewer - $35,000
Water - $150,000

The Board of Public Works and the City Engineer having made reports of all proceedings in relation to the improvement of North Lake Street Resurfacing Assessment District - 2016 pursuant to a resolution of the Common Council, RES-16-00103, ID No. 41392, adopted 2/2/16, which resolution was adopted thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and the Common Council being fully advised.
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City at large is justly chargeable with and shall pay the sum of $673,336.24 of the entire cost of said improvement.
2. That for those eligible property owners requesting construction of a rain garden in the public right-of-way adjacent to their property shall execute the necessary waiver of special assessments on forms provided by the City Engi...
