Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes a two year agreement that may be renewed for an additional two year period with Madison Log Rolling LLP at Wingra Park. The agreement sets the terms and conditions upon which the City will allow Madison Log Rolling LLP to use portions of Wingra Park for its log rolling program activities. In addition to a security deposit of $250, Madison Log Rolling LLP will pay the City anticipated fees totaling $1,225 over the term of the agreement.

Body
WHEREAS, Madison Log Rolling LLP is a limited liability partnership, formed in 2010 for the purposes of organizing and teaching log rolling and preserving the history of Wisconsin logging by growing the sport of log rolling in the greater Madison community; and,
WHEREAS, Madison Log Rolling LLP uses the City’s park land at Wingra Park as its home for launching classes and is in need of on-site equipment storage to assist its operations; and,
WHEREAS, the City can accommodate Madison Log Rolling LLP and the Parks Division is agreeable to allowing Madison Log Rolling LLP to use space in Wingra Park, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a Use Agreement with Madison Log Rolling LLP to use portions of Wingra Park for its log rolling program activities for the years of 2017-2021, consistent with the Wingra Park Log Rolling Use Agreement attached and incorporated hereto, in a format that is approved by the City Attorney and the Risk Manager.
