Title
SUBSTITUTE - Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with American Interfile & Library Services, Inc. for $92,380.00 to provide move management consulting services for the move of library contents away from and back to the Madison Central Public Library during the remodel, renovation, and exterior improvement project.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2010 and 2011 Capital Budget includes funding for moving the Central Library contents out of the library prior to construction and return of library contents after construction. Library contents includes, but is not limited to library collection, framed and sculpture art, janitorial supplies, book stacks, furnishings, furniture, and equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the contract compensation for move management consulting services American Interfile & Library Services, Inc. for $92,380.00; and,
WHEREAS, the move management consultant will be contracted to survey all existing library contents, create and monitor a move plan, create the moving bid packages, manage the moving vendor selection, create and supervise a pre-move preparation plan, provide on site supervision during the move(s), and complete a post move consultation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for purchase of services, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, with American Interfile & Library Services, Inc. for $92,380.00; to provide move management consulting services for the move of library contents away from and back to the Madison Central Public Library during the remodel, renovation, and exterior improvement project.
