Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends Traffic Engineering’s 2018 Adopted Capital Budget by appropriating $20,000 for a pedestrian safety project at the Carncross/Siggelkow intersection. This appropriation will be funded by a payment from the Village of McFarland.

Amending Traffic Engineering’s 2018 Capital Budget to increase it by $20,000  for 100% of the cost for the purchase and installation costs of the RRFB at Carncross/Siggelkow.  (16th AD)

Body

WHEREAS, the other government payments for service budget authority available in Traffic Engineering’s 2018 Capital budget is insufficient to pay for this RRFB ($20,000); and

WHEREAS, Traffic Engineering would require an additional $20,000 funded by the Village of McFarland in budget authority to fund this project, and

WHEREAS, the Village of McFarland (McFarland) has requested the City of Madison to install the RRFB at Carncross Dr. - Siggelkow Rd., and

WHEREAS, McFarland has agreed to pay a deposit of $20,000.00 to cover 100% of the cost of purchasing and installing this RRFB.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Traffic Engineering’s 2018 Capital Budget is amended to increase it by $ 20,000.00 for 100% of the cost for the purchase and installation costs of the RRFB at Carncross/Siggelkow.
