Public Health Madison and Dane County proposes the acceptance of $19,164.27 from UW SWAP for the sale of old and unused laboratory equipment
Funds received from UW SWAP are a result of the sale of old and unused laboratory items on the UW SWAP website. The money will be used to increase the general laboratory budget and will support program goals.
$14,511.95 will be added to 53410 Laboratory Machinery & Equipment to purchase qPCR supplies that that will improve beach monitoring and Lyme Disease detection in ticks and to purchase supplies for West Nile Virus detection in mosquitoes.
$4,652.32 will be added to 54335 Laboratory System License and Maintenance to buy additional Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) licenses.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and increase the 2024 Public Health Budget by $19,164.27.
