Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes a fourth amendment to the existing contract (#8910) between the City of Madison and Tetra Tech, Inc. for engineering services for the East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed Study, for the total amount of $195,000. The original contract was adopted via RES 20-00352 and amended via RES 21-00699, RES 22-00429, and RES 22-00734. The new contract, including the fourth amendment, will total $518,868. Funds are available in the 2023 Adopted Stormwater Utility Operating Budget in Munis #12846. No additional appropriation is required.

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison Engineering Division is conducting watershed and flood studies as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc. for engineering services related to flooding evaluation in the East Isthmus and Yahara River watershed (RES-20-00352) and the previous authorized amendments (RES-21-00699, RES-22-00429, RES-22-00734). The City Engineer requested additional engineering services and recommend that they be undertaken by Tetra Tech, Inc. for the East Isthmus and Yahara River Watershed Study as defined below:
1. Evaluate flood mitigation alternatives
2. Complete public engagement
3. Submit a final report of the study
The existing contract shall be extended until December 31, 2024 to allow completion of the additional services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment 4 to the contract between the City of Madison and Tetra Tech, Inc. for additional design services and to extend the contract term for East Isthmus and Yaha...
